What is a database?? A collection of information organized & stored together on the web.

Here  are the subscription online resources the Edmond Public School district & state of Oklahoma provide for us. You can use them on any of the school and media center computers. You can also use most of these at home via this website. (See Mrs. Adler or Mrs. Andrus to get your copy of Sequoyah’s research brochure with passwords to use these :).

Ebsco:  You can search magazines, newspapers, newswires, images, journals, ERIC documents etc.  from around the world on this collection of online databases.  After accessing the login page, choose school libraries or one of the other databases to begin your search.

World Book Online: This favorite encyclopedia is online with several special features, including Today in History & Current Events sections, a dictionary, links to selected websites, and others.  This is easy to search on and use.

Gale In Context: Middle School: Combines the best of Gale’s reference content with age-appropriate videos, newspapers, magazines, primary sources, and much more. Students will find outstanding support to complete assignments in core subjects including literature, science, social studies, and history.

Britannica Online School Edition: Gives students in grades K-8 access to two encyclopedias and other resources.

Library Catalog: Access via this district link to browse books in our collection.  Don’t forget to use the Destiny Discover in the Destiny Library catalog, to use for searching our catalog and putting books on hold.
