Sequoyah Media Center authors of  2019-2020!

Scott Reintgen, author of the Nyxia series, Saving Fable, & Ashlords has visited Sequoyah in April 20222 to discuss his new book, The Problem With Prophesies.  Thank you Scott Reintgen for visiting our school again and inspiring all of us to never give up on our dreams.

Jonathan Auxier blew Sequoyah away on Wednesday, October 2 with his energetic, thoughtful presentation, and his superb yo-yo skills while storytelling at the same time. Thank you Jonathan Auxier for visiting Sequoyah! Sweep: The Story of a Girl and Her Monster was just recently released and on the Sequoyah Masterlist for the 2019-2020 year.


What a memorable visit with author, Wendelin Van Draanen. on Friday, March 13. Many thanks to Wendelin for such a powerful presentation enriched with meaningful stories, advice on writing, and singing. Truly a special author in all of our hearts.

Sequoyah Media Center authors of Spring 2019!

Brad McLelland, co-author of The Legends of Lost Causes will be visited Sequoyah on March 1, 2019. Sequoyah had a wonderful time hosting Mr. McLelland and hope to have him visit again soon.

Sequoyah meets author, Scott Westerfeld, at Best of Books event! Scott Westerfeld is the author of the Uglies series, Midnighter series, and Leviathan series to name a few. Westerfeld’s books are hugely popular in our library, and it was honor to meet him, and have some of our books signed. Thank you Scott Westerfeld, and Best of Books for this special opportunity.

T.A. Barron Author Visit!  Monday, November 14

We are so thankful to Best of Books in Edmond for sending T.A. Barron to visit our school. We hope to have him back again. Mr. Barron is a wonderful author and inspiring speaker. During the book signing, he showed our students so much kindness and gratitude.  It was a special day. Thank you Mr. Barron for visiting our school and sharing the love of reading and writing with our students.
