Thank you teachers, staff, and students for making Teen Read Week such a success. We had 9 Book for a Book winners this week. We had multiple students pull from our giving tree for being caught reading and 3 of them pulled an even bigger prize from our tree.

SCHOLASTIC BOOK FAIR
Book Fair is Monday, October 31 – Friday, November 4. Stop by or come with your class to check out all the newest, best book titles, posters, and fun additional items and treasures. You won’t want to miss it!
FACS, Leadership, and Media Center Victorian Tea Party!
Leadership researched Queen Victoria and Christmas traditions, and FACS researched the Christmas foods during Queen Victoria’s reign. Both classes presented their research in the Media Center. Mrs. Adler conducted mini lessons over Charles Dickens and The Christmas Carol, and on table etiquette. The Media Center set-up and hosted the tea party while FACS made trifles, scones, jam, and cidar from scratch for all of the classes to enjoy. Mr. Inga and Dr. Harsha were crowned King and Queen for the tea party.

Read Across America – Celebrating Dr. Seuss’s birthday March 2!
Dr. Seuss breakout boxes in our MakerSpace our allowing students and teachers to test their detective skills, and see if they can breakout. Check out all of Dr. Seuss decorations outside and around the library. Don’t forget to get a selfie with Cat and the Hat, and Thing 1 and Thing 2. There are many other events and prizes throughout the week in honor of our beloved Dr. Seuss!

We would like to send a sincere thank you to Shannon Lewis at Lewis Orthodontics in Edmond, Oklahoma for supplying our school charging station for the next 2 years. We appreciate Lewis Orthodontics support for our school.
1st hour Media Center Aides enjoying a hot chocolate in their “library cafe.” We love to show our appreciation for all of their hard work in our Media Center! Thank you to all of our wonderful aides! Not only do they check books in and out, they shelve books, read shelves, assist students with research, computers, and books, keep our library tidy and clean, take care of our new MakerSpace area, and assist Mrs. Adler with her many projects from bulletin boards, decorating tables, event set-up and planning, and so much more! We appreciate each and everyone of you!
