Vex IQ Robotics: Designing, Building, Programming, and repeat in order to accomplish the national competition goals.  Teams will be competing against other state teams with hopes of qualifying for national competition. (Linked to TSA)

Drama (Fall Musical & Spring Play)

We produce a musical in the fall and a play in the spring. Elf the Musical will be presented November 17th-November 19th. Auditions for the play will be February 15th and 16th.

Outdoor Adventure Club

Technology Student Association (TSA)

Local chapter of National TSA Organization.  TSA promotes leadership while students explore engineering and design related fields.  Projects are researched and created in order to compete on the state and national level including designing/building gliders, bridges, CO2 cars, presenting technology research, and demonstrating professional meeting skills.

FCCLA (Family Career, Community Leaders of America

Thursday Once a month 7:15-7:40

Each month a new topic will be discussed and an activity played. Light breakfast will be available. Students will learn skills to use in leadership roles.

Must read one of the featured books for the month picked from the Sequoyah Masterlist. We discuss the books featured that month and enjoy a cup of hot cocoa or cappuccino.

For students to have opportunities to bring their voice to life by creating a community where young writers can express, advance, and polish their works in a supportive environment to have a positive impact on their world around them.



  • Once a month, on occasion twice a month. (The second meeting in the month would be a critiquing meeting only in a teacher’s classroom).

Genre Lunch (6,7,& 8 grade)

Meeting Day and Time:
Once every other month per grade during their lunch time.

A different genre is featured each month and students read a novel from that genre. During their lunch they come to the media center with their lunch and discuss the books read for the meeting. Dessert is provided by Mrs. Adler

Academic Team

Weekly Students compete on a team in a quiz bowl format. We are still accepting new members.
